Dear E. B. Reyna Families,

We want to thank you for your support during the 2023-2024 school year. With your collaboration and the hard work of our students and staff, we were once again able to obtain a TEA “A” rating. While this is great news, we are seeking your assistance in improving our attendance due to a decrease in our performance in STAAR Math and STAAR Reading.

Students need to be at school in order to learn and succeed. Students who miss more than 10% of school are more likely to be at-risk of dropping out or not graduating. When students are absent they miss out on crucial instruction. Our attendance for the 1st Six Weeks was 94.37%. We fell short of our goal of 97.5%.

We are seeking your assistance in reaching our attendance goal of 97.5% Attendance is a critical component of success. We are including attendance strategies in efforts to motivate students. We can not wait to see what our attendance will look like for the 2nd Six Weeks.

Reminders:

  • Student dropoff will begin at 7:15 AM.

  • Instructional time is from 7:35-3:05.

  • Buses depart at 3:05.

  • Uniforms will be mandatory. Shirts must be worn with blue or black jeans (no torn jeans or leggings allowed).

Sincerely,

Lucina Lara-Garza
