La Joya ISD is alerting families about a dangerous social media trend that encourages students to insert metal objects (such as paper clips) into Chromebook charging ports. This behavior can cause permanent damage, fires, and serious injuries.
ā ļø This is a serious safety hazard and will result in disciplinary action and may lead to criminal charges under Texas law.
ā”ļø Please speak with your child about the proper use of school-issued devices and the serious consequences of misusing them.
