Educational Excellence: The Right of Every Student
Welcome to E B Reyna.
Mrs. Lucy Lara-Garza
Thanks to La Joya ISD’s Apple Academy and the Microsoft Innovative Educator Academy, Mrs. Huerta has made an amazing impact on student learning utilizing technology in her 4th grade class at E. B. Reyna. Technology engages students of this modern generation and helps them to apply knowledge in a relevant manner. In addition, technology also provides hands-on learning opportunities that can be integrated into all school curricular areas, including mathematics, reading, science, social studies, as well as other academic subjects. Seesaw, Plickers, Quizizz, Kahoot, Splash Math, and the use of QR Codes are just some of the amazing tools available for our students that foster the love of learning. The use of technology gives students opportunities to collaborate with their peers and from each other. These factors can lead to a positive impact on student learning, motivation, and student behavior. “It is priceless to see excitement on students’ faces when a test, using Plickers, is announced or to hear them asking for more math homework on Quizizz. “My goal is to reach the redefinition level of the SAMR model adopted by La Joya ISD to infuse technology into teaching and learning”.
La Joya ISD is committed to engaging all stakeholders in the education of our children. Our goal is to build strong relationships with our staff, students, families and community members so we can make the changes needed to reach every student.
